BEACON Designer

BEACON for Simulink / Stateflow enables developers to specify embedded systems requirements using the popular simulation tools: Simulink / Stateflow. The BEACON code generation tools then generate production code from those specifications.

BEACON Designer is used to indicate specific details about the embedded system specification. A Data Dictionary is used to indicate data types, ranges, fixed point scaling, and other important design details. Model Tags are used to indicate the implementation of the Simulink / Stateflow diagrams (inline, procedure, function, stub) as well as rescaling and typecasting. The Data Dictionary and Model Tags augment the Simulink / Stateflow diagrams in order to provide the code generator will the necessary design information.
