The second key design requirement for the ADvantage runtime framework is real-time efficiency. Real-time simulation projects constantly require more computational power to execute simulation models and drive signals.

Any computational power used for run-time overhead robs computational power from the models. As a result, ADvantage was designed to minimize the overhead used by the run-time framework.
