 CE5500 Upgrade Program Now Available!

The Compute Engines (CE) provides the computational power in RTS systems to perform model calculations, and some or all IO processing. The speed and memory on the older CEs typically range from 33 MHz and 16Mbs to 500 MHz and 32Mbs, respectively.

CE5500 is ADI’s next generation of compute power for the RTS real-time simulator. The heart of this compute engine is the 1-GHz G4-based PowerPC processor. This CE includes 32 kb on-chip L1 cache, 256 kb on-chip L2 cache, 2MB L3 cache, and 512 MB of RAM.

This all adds up to an incredible boost to the computational performance of the RTS. Performance improvements range from 3 to 5 times the computational power of the 500-MHz CE5100. The following table provides benchmark data for the CE5500:
