DLR RT-Simulation of a Flight Research Test Vehicle Based on an EC135 Helicopter by Peter Saager DLR - Braunschweig Institute of Flight Research

Development projects for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology have resulted in an increased demand for rotorcraft simulation and development. This presentation reviews the range of simulation-based technologies used by the German Aerospace Center DLR for the development of helicopter systems including active control technologies, and cockpit interface development. ADI’s ADvantage real-time simulation framework contributes to these development systems by handling key high-performance real-time simulation activities.
