Open Process Automation Standard (O-PAS)

In late 2019, the Open Process Automation Standard (O-PAS) Version 1.0 was published by The Open Group to standardize distributed, virtual and real-time computation, for Industrial Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications. Since then, O-PAS has become the prevailing standard for US industrial open automation and distributed computation.

After thorough review, ADI was delighted to find that the ADEPT Framework, from an architecture and design standpoint, is already fully compatible. The fact that both ADI and The Open Group came to similar design conclusions speaks to the strengths of this approach.
